Wah Sum Helpline
HELP IS ONLY A PHONE CALL AWAY...
Via the Wah Sum Helpline, a kind and caring voice is only a phone call away. In times of difficulty, the best way to overcome a problem is to share it with someone else. The bravest thing for some people to do is to admit that they have a problem. This takes a great deal of courage and strength. Call us and we will listen and guide you through the stormy seas of life.
For our small team of specially trained and patient counselors, no problem is too large and they will offer both support and information even in times when you feel that you have no one else to turn too.
The Wah Sum helpline is the first mental health helpline dedicated to serving the Chinese community throughout the UK. This is a confidential helpline run by experienced tri-lingual (Cantonese, Mandarin and English) workers and volunteers. Through this helpline, we offer emotional support, vital information and advice to callers.
If you would like to join the helpline team to provide emotional support for Chinese who are isolated by language, culture or geographic barriers via the telephone or e-mail, please contact us on 0845 122 8660 or at wahsum@cmha.org.uk
The helpline is open from 4pm to 6pm, Monday to Friday.
