CMHA is looking for Cantonese-speaking Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWP) / CBT Therapists to work in our Step 2 Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) Service in Barnet.
Chinese Mental Health Association (CMHA) is a partner of the Multilingual Wellbeing Service (MWS) consortium and is working to provide IAPT Services in Barnet. We are looking for professional practitioners / therapists to join our IAPT team. The IAPT service is based on treating anxiety and depression in working age adults through a stepped care approach based on NICE guidelines.
Job Duties:
- Work within the IAPT services and follow the procedures and guidelines of the service
- Deliver assessments and short-term interventions for working age clients with mild to moderate anxiety and depression based on a cognitive behavioural model under the NICE guidelines (Step 2)
- Provide services to people with different cultures and backgrounds.
- Commit to 1 to 2 days a week on a freelance basis
Person Specification:
- Spoken and written fluency in Cantonese
- Have or are currently on a recognised accredited training course in counselling
- Formal training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy techniques are essential.
- Membership of a professional body (e.g., BACP, BABCP, UKCP, BPS) is essential.
- Previous experience in IAPT is beneficial
